Usama Ahmad Rafique, MD Joins Altru Health System

Grand Forks, N.D. – Usama Ahmad Rafique, MD is joining the psychiatry team at Altru Health System. He specializes in psychiatric disorders, which include but are not limited to, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, depressive disorders, and traumatic disorders. He is board-eligible and a member of the American Psychiatric Association.

"As an inpatient psychiatrist, I see my patients usually in the acute and complicated stages of their illness," Usama states. "My aim is to provide them with the utmost care and the best possible treatment in this stressful period of their lives to ensure long-lasting positive health results."

Dr. Rafique earned his medical degree from King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan. He went on to complete his residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (Elmhurst) Program in Elmhurst, New York.
