Grand Forks, N.D. – One in four people age 65 or older has a fall each year, Altru’s “Stepping On” workshop is here to help lessen those falls. “Stepping On” is a 7-week, virtual workshop to teach, equip and help you avoid a dangerous and costly fall. In just a matter of weeks, you’ll learn strength and balance exercises, how to identify and remove fall hazards inside and outside your home, and how vision, hearing, medication, and footwear affect your risk of falling. “Stepping On” is held online from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. beginning Thursday, February 25, and runs through April 15. To register, call Bill Vasicek, Community Safety Coordinator at 701.780.5939 or email at bvasicek@altru.org
