
Altru’s NICU & Pediatric Developmental Clinic is a program for
children considered at risk for developmental issues from birth up to
2 years of age. The NICU & Pediatric Development Clinic integrates
physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy screens. This
is typically scheduled around your child’s well child appointments.
At this appointment, the pediatric team will determine if the child has
a need for additional services or make recommendations to help your child
at home. Altru’s team screens and treats your child to ensure they
are progressing to meet developmental milestones.
Risk Factors of developmental delay:
Altru’s Autism Spectrum Diagnostic Clinic is a free clinic for children identified as at risk for Autism and related disorders. During the screening, the child is assessed by a team of therapists, a pediatrician, a pediatric neurologist, and a pediatric health coach. The screening may or may not lead to a diagnosis and further evaluations and assessments may necessary. The goal of the Autism Spectrum Diagnostic Clinic is to provide families with a means of early identification of children with autism and developmental delays.
Altru’s Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Diagnostic Clinic is a collaboration between Altru Health System and the University of North Dakota School of Medicine for children identified as at risk for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. The goal of the screening clinic is to provide families with a means of early identification of a child with fetal alcohol spectrum disorder and developmental delays at no cost. The Altru Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Clinic is a multidisciplinary team. The screening may or may not lead to a diagnosis and further evaluations and assessment may necessary as recommended by the following multidisciplinary team:
