Altru’s General Surgery team is highly specialized to manage all levels of surgical needs. Our General Surgeons offer patients some of the most advanced and minimally invasive surgical systems and techniques, including that of the DaVinci Robotics system, skillfully operated by our expert surgeons. Some of the surgeries our department performs include laparoscopic options for abdominal surgeries including appendectomy, gallbladder removal, hernia repair, colon surgery, and more. Our surgeons are also highly skilled in cancer surgery and perform procedures in treatment collaboration with the Altru Cancer Center for breast, skin, colon and other cancers. In addition, Altru’s General Surgeons are also trained in trauma surgery and support Altru’s Level 2 Trauma Center.

Altru’s General Surgery department also provides endoscopy services. Dr. Bradley Belluk and Dr. Stefan Johnson both perform screening and diagnostic colonoscopies, as well as other endoscopic procedures at the Altru Professional Center Endoscopy department.
