Kami Macki, NP, cares for patients in gastroenterology at Altru Professional Center and throughout the region with telemedicine visits. She enjoys the challenge of gastroenterology as it involves numerous organs and body systems. Kami is passionate about colon screening and organizes the annual Run for Your Buns 5K run/walk held each summer in Grand Forks. This race raises awareness about the importance of colonoscopies and funds to help uninsured or underinsured pay for screening colonoscopies. In her free time, she enjoys triathlons, cooking for others, running, coaching basketball, singing on the worship team, being a mother, and spending time with her family.
Philosophy of Medicine
"I approach each patient as unique individuals, even if symptoms are similar to other patients. I devote time actively listening to patients and allow them to express their questions and opinions. I do encourage family members to be an active part of the patient's care."
