Matthew Amundson, MD

Matthew Amundson, MD, is part of the family medicine team at Altru. He is passionate about seeing his patients live their best lives and succeed personally and in the community. Outside of work, Dr. Amundson enjoys traveling, watchmaking and volunteering for Special Olympics. 

Philosophy of Medicine

"My decision to pursue a path in medicine began while working at Altru during high school and college. Here I was introduced to the role of a physician and observed the long-term continuity of patient care this role allows. During Medical school, I quickly chose Family Medicine for this very reason. In my practice, I enjoy shared decision-making and holding open conversations with patients to determine what we feel is best for their care."
