Mokhtarodin Shakibani, MD, is a pulmonary critical care provider at Altru Health System. Mokhtarodin is motivated by the knowledge that better days are ahead for patients with cancer, COPD, asthma, cystic fibrosis and other chronic illnesses. Outside of work, he enjoys calligraphy, handwriting/fountain pens and taekwondo.

I grew up in a highly underserved area in desperate need of medical expertise. I developed a strong attraction to medicine from my early school days. I pursued my dreams, which brought me here close to home. I would like my patients to think of me as someone in their corner in difficult times. I want to gain their full trust and comfort in knowing that I will care for them as I would want my loved ones cared for.
