U.S. News & World Report Names Altru Hospital Number One Hospital in North Dakota and Best in Red River Valley

Altru Hospital has been recognized as the number one hospital in North Dakota and best hospital in the Red River Valley by U.S. News & World Report for the 2019-20 rankings. U.S. News Best Hospitals analysis reviews nearly 5000 hospitals’ performance in adult and pediatric clinical specialties, procedures, and conditions. Scores are based on several factors, including patient outcomes, patient safety, patient experience, nurse staffing, and more, and are ranked regionally within states.

Altru Hospital also was awarded high-performing rankings in the adult specialty of pulmonology and lung surgery and high-performing rankings in the procedures and conditions area to include abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, colon cancer surgery, heart failure, hip replacement, and knee replacement.
