Altru Transitions Hospice Services to Hospice of the Red River Valley
Posted OnSeptember 17, 2020
Grand Forks, N.D. - Altru is in the process of transitioning our Hospice program to Hospice of the Red River Valley. This is part of Altru’s strategic intent to be a regional integrator of care, ensuring our residents have access to the best care possible by partnering with organizations with aligned values and a history of excellent care. All staff will have the opportunity to pursue positions at Hospice of the Red River Valley or remain at Altru.
We will focus our resources on our home health services, which are a crucial component of our post-acute care strategy. The delivery model of this care is changing, with more care received at home and reduced hospital stays. A focus on home care supports this shift to meet our patients’ needs.
The transition of patients to Hospice of the Red River Valley is underway and as of September 17, 2020, we will stop admitting patients. We will work with each of our current patients over the next several weeks to ensure a seamless transition of their care. We are confident that the Hospice care in our region is in great hands with Hospice of the Red River Valley.
