Altru Physician Jason Go, M.D., Named Physician of the Quarter

Altru is pleased to announce Jason Go, M.D., a cardiologist with the health system since 2012, has been awarded Physician of the Quarter for Quarter 4 of 2022.

“Dr. Go continually works to communicate with patients, families and his care team. He is compassionate, skillful and innovative. We are proud to have him on our team,” shared Dr. Josh Deere, president of Altru.

Dr. Go’s genuine concern is noticed by his patients.

“Dr Go is professional, yet friendly, and always explains everything so well. You can tell that he is concerned about his patients and wants to provide the best care for them,” explained one patient. “I would highly recommend him to others.”

Other patients just know their healthcare experience with Dr. Go was above and beyond.

Dr. Go shares his philosophy of medicine, “It's a privilege to be a part of someone's healthcare. I treat my patients as I would my own family. Patients deserve to be heard. I believe in clear communication and explanation. I think it's important to illustrate available options, showing patients they're in the driver's seat, and I'm their co-pilot.”

Dr. Go attended medical school at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.; his cardiovascular disease fellowship at Creighton; and his interventional cardiology fellowship at John Ochsner Heart & Vascular Institute/Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. Dr. Go’s medical interests include carotid and neurovascular intervention, interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular intervention and structural heart intervention.

The Physician of the Quarter recipients are selected after reviewing survey results submitted by patients. Altru started this award in 2021 as a way to recognize outstanding care given by Altru physicians.
