Alyssa Gourde, MS, CF-SLP, specializes in speech-language pathology at Altru. Her younger brother with Down Syndrome introduced Alyssa to speech therapy at the age of 7, and she fell in love with the field. Her brother’s motivation inspires her to be the best SLP for all patients. Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys plants, crafting and spending time with family.

"Having a younger brother with Down Syndrome who spent most of his adolescent years in speech therapy has motivated me to become the SLP I would want him to have. I believe in a multi-disciplinary approach to support the whole person and incorporate family members to facilitate growth in areas outside of the clinic."
