Casey Goodyear, MD, specializes in general surgery at Altru. He is driven by a deep commitment to excellence, finding personal fulfillment in delivering the highest quality of care to the community. Outside of work, Dr. Goodyear enjoys being outside with his kids and cooking with his family. 

Philosophy of Medicine

"I started my path towards a career in medicine as a phlebotomist in Grand Forks, ND during college and later a volunteer emergency medical technician in Grafton, ND. I found that the more I learned, the more enriching and fulfilling the science of medicine became. It was during medical school that I began making connections with patients and members of my community which really confirmed that being a doctor was the right path for me. As a surgeon, I have the privilege of using my specialized training to positively impact my patients' quality of life during the most critical and challenging times of their lives."
