Jaydon Grafsgaard, FNP-C, serves as an emergency medicine nurse practitioner at Altru Hospital in Devils Lake. He has spent his career working in emergency medicine and enjoys the fast-paced environment where critical thinking, teamwork, and adaptability are essential. Having grown up in the Devils Lake area, Jaydon values the strong sense of community, work ethic, and outdoor lifestyle that define the region. These values shape both his personal life and his approach to patient care. He is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care and takes pride in remaining calm and focused during challenging situations.
Outside of work, Jaydon lives in the country near Devils Lake with his wife and son. Their family shares a passion for serving others and being actively involved in their community. He also enjoys spending time outdoors and taking advantage of everything the Devils Lake area has to offer.
Philosophy of Medicine
"I chose to practice medicine because I wanted a career built on service, accountability, and the opportunity to lead during critical moments. Growing up in a rural North Dakota community instilled in me the value of hard work, integrity, and being someone others can rely on when situations are uncertain. Emergency medicine allows me to bring a steady, decisive approach to patient care while working as part of a team focused on achieving the best possible outcome.
