Karleen Thompson is a licensed registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist. She practices at the Altru Clinic - Roseau, Altru Clinic - Warroad, and the Altru Clinic - Greenbush. Outside of work, Karleen enjoys taking walks in the country with her dog, Bella, trying new recipes, traveling to different locations to hike, and spending time with her husband, Dave, and their children's families.
Philosophy of Medicine
"I chose to be a dietitian because of my interest in healthy living and eating to promote good health. I later became a diabetes educator because of my growing interest in diabetes since I was diagnosed with the disease myself. I feel my understanding of how life is with diabetes helps me support and educate my patients."
