Dr. Robin Severud is a board certified anesthesiologist at Altru Health System. She is originally from Mayville, ND, where she also played basketball and golf at MSU while obtaining her BS in Biology degree. Dr. Severud is a graduate of UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences with a master's degree in Biochemistry in 1997 and Medical Doctor degree in 2001. Dr. Severud and her husband along with their three sons enjoy golfing, taking care of the yard, spending time at the lake, and going skiing or to the beach on vacation.
Philosophy of Medicine
"There are countless careers in the world that ensure stability throughout one's working years, but medicine requires an intense connection to the work that is done, to the people who are subject to that work, and to life long learning. These things are essential for my professional and spiritual growth. Anesthesiology is a great fit for me, because I love working on a team taking care of patients during the most vulnerable times of their lives. It is a great responsibility with immeasurable rewards."
