Blindness is the complete or partial loss of vision. Many things can cause blindness, including accidents, diabetes and certain eye diseases.
Symptoms
Blindness can happen suddenly or over a period of time. Often there's no pain.
Treatments
Suddenly occurring blindness needs emergency medical treatment. Vision rehabilitation is very effective in helping people with blindness lead full, productive lives.
