Overview
Gastrointestinal perforation is a condition in which a hole forms in the stomach, gallbladder or elsewhere in the digestive tract. Intestinal content leaks into the belly, causing serious infection.
Symptoms
Symptoms include severe belly pain, chills, fever and nausea.
Treatments
Surgery is needed to repair the hole.
