Overview
Gastrointestinal perforation is a condition in which a hole develops in the stomach, gallbladder, or elsewhere in the digestive tract. Intestinal content leaks into the belly, causing serious infection.
Symptoms
Symptoms include severe abdominal pain, chills, fever, and nausea.
Treatments
Surgery is needed to repair the hole.
