Definitions
Swelling of the tissues, called tendons, that connect the muscles and bones in the shoulder.
Overview
Overuse and injury are common causes of rotator cuff tendinitis.
Symptoms
Symptoms include pain, often described as a dull ache, and stiffness around the shoulder joint.
Treatments
Rest, ice and pain relievers can help. Physical therapy and steroid injections may be necessary.
