Parking & Transportation
Altru's new hospital opened January 19, 2025. At that time, the parking plan at the Altru Columbia Rd. campus changed. This plan will remain in place until our old hospital is decommissioned and demolished, and our new guest parking lot is completed. Below are routes and parking maps for each facility impacted.

Valet
We encourage all our patients and guests to utilize our FREE valet service, available seven days a week, at the main hospital entrance. A valet will park your car and return it at the end of your visit.
If you need assistance to get from the valet circle into the hospital, let the valet attendant know. They will arrange either a wheelchair or a covered vehicle to transport you to the main entrance.
Valet hours: Monday - Friday | 5 a.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday & Sunday | 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
When ready to leave, patients/visitors should:
- Check in with front desk
- Front desk will alert valet to retrieve the car
- Patient/visitors should wait in lobby
- Guest services will notify patient/visitor when car is pulled into valet circle
What if patient/visitor leaves after the valet has closed?
- Valet staff will pull all remaining cars into valet circle around 7:30 p.m. on weekdays and 4:30 p.m. on weekends. Keys will be delivered to security.
- Patient/visitor can call security (number posted at front desk) for delivery of keys to hospital front desk.
Shuttle (Small Bus)
If you choose to park your own car, there will be a FREE shuttle (small bus) taking people from the new hospital patient & guest lot, located northwest of the hospital, to the main entrance of the hospital. The shuttle will stop near the sign posted in the parking lot for 2-3 minutes, allowing riders to stay warm in their vehicle while awaiting arrival.
Shuttle hours: Monday – Friday | 6 a.m. - 9 p.m., no shuttle service on weekends.
Courtesy Shuttles
Courtesy shuttles (Altru-branded small transport vehicles or an Altru accessible van) can be called to transport patients if they have appointments on the Columbia Rd. campus that are in different buildings.
Courtesy shuttle hours: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. No courtesy shuttle on weekends. Accessed by calling 701.780.1079.
City Bus
The city bus has a stop between Altru Clinic (Altru 1300) and Valley Senior Living. Patients will be able to call 701.780.1079 for a courtesy shuttle to take them over to the new hospital, if needed, or other locations on campus.
