Parking & Transportation
On Sunday, November 2, 2025, the new, large parking lot for our patients and guests opened south of our new hospital. Visitors will once again access parking from the familiar Columbia Rd. and 13th Avenue South entrance.
Valet service will continue at the main entrance under the canopy, while shuttle services for patients and guests will be discontinued with the opening of the new lot.
This milestone means easier access for our community and signals the completion of the core work related to our replacement hospital.
Valet
Complimentary valet parking is available for all patients and guests seven days a week at the main hospital entrance. A valet will park your car and return it at the end of your visit.
Valet hours: Monday - Friday | 5 a.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday & Sunday | 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
When ready to leave, patients/visitors should:
- Check in with front desk
- Front desk will alert valet to retrieve the car
- Patient/visitors should wait in lobby
What if patient/visitor leaves after the valet has closed?
- Valet staff will pull all remaining cars into the loop around 7:30 p.m. on weekdays and 4:30 p.m. on weekends. Keys will be delivered to security.
- Patient/visitor can call security (number posted at front desk) for delivery of keys to hospital front desk.
Courtesy Shuttles
Courtesy shuttles (Altru-branded small transport vehicles or an Altru accessible van) can be called to transport patients if they have appointments on the Columbia Rd. campus that are in different buildings.
Courtesy shuttle hours: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. No courtesy shuttle on weekends. Accessed by calling 701.780.1079.
City Bus
The city bus has a stop between Altru Clinic (Altru 1300) and Valley Senior Living. Patients will be able to call 701.780.1079 for a courtesy shuttle to take them over to the new hospital, if needed, or other locations on campus.
