Altru Announces Deputy General Counsel and Director of Legal and Privacy

Grand Forks, N.D. – Altru Health System is proud to announce that Joel Larson has accepted the position of deputy general counsel and director of legal and privacy. Joel joins Altru with over 13 years of experience serving as an attorney for Minnkota Power Cooperative, Inc. and prior to that in private practice with Camrud, Maddock, Olson & Larson, Ltd.
In his new role, Joel will manage and oversee daily legal operations, including ensuring compliance with all regulatory privacy requirements. Joel earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of North Dakota, and went on to complete his Juris Doctorate from the University of North Dakota School of Law. Joel is originally from Valley City.
Outside of work, Joel enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Meredith, and their three children. Joel also works as president and race director for Extreme North Dakota Racing (ENDracing), a non-profit ultra-endurance racing company.
