Altru Announces New Managers

Grand Forks, N.D. – Altru Health System is proud to announce two new managers: Lisa Tocchio, manager of Home Care and Hospice, and Melissa Ziegler, manager of Behavioral Health.

Lisa has been part of Altru for 18 years and served in various roles including appointment clerk, health unit coordinator, clinic nursing, and nursing on Altru’s cardiac inpatient unit. She begins in Home Health and Hospice as a registered nurse in 2010 and has also served as a case manager and education coordinator. Lisa received her AAS in practical nursing and ADN from Northland Community and Technical College as well as her BSN from the University of North Dakota. She and her family, Mike, Fin (14) and Ava (5) and black lab, Lucy (7), are part of the East Grand Forks community and spend time traveling with their son’s hockey team and other sports activities. She also champions Ava, who has Down Syndrome, in developing her skills and celebrating her accomplishments.

Melissa has served as the manager of outpatient psychiatry and was also the interim manager for inpatient psychiatry. She served as the nursing manager of Glenmore Recovery Center from 2010 – 2012, and as a social worker for Marshall County Social Services and Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Schools from 2001 – 2004. Melissa has a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of North Dakota and an associate's nursing degree from Northland Community and Technical College. In her new role, she will oversee the outpatient psychiatry clinic, TEARS, and inpatient psychiatry. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, fishing and swimming at the lake, reading, watching movies, and continuous learning.
