Dr. Arshad Khan Joins Altru Clinic in Roseau

Grand Forks, N.D. – Arshad Khan, MD, general surgeon, is joining the team at Altru Clinic in Roseau, MN. He has extensive training in the field of general, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery. He specializes in transplantation, as well as vascular access for hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis catheter placements. Additionally, he practices minimally invasive, robotically assisted surgery.
Dr. Khan earned his medical degree and completed his internship at the University of Jammu College of Medicine in India. He completed his general surgery residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He completed both his Pancreatic and Islet Transplant Surgery Fellowship and his Multi-Organ Transplant Surgery Fellowship at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, IL.
“To me, medicine is the holistic care of patients, which not only addresses the disease, but also the psychological and social aspects of it. I became a surgeon so that I can use the scientific art and craft to extirpate the disease and restore patients to their families hale and hearty,” explains Dr. Khan.
Outside of work, Dr. Khan watches documentaries, playing outdoor sports, and enjoys spending time with his wife and kids.
