Grand Forks, N.D. – Vanessa Sundeen, FNP joins Altru Health System as a family nurse practitioner specializing in infectious disease and travel medicine. She will be providing travel medicine for all ages across the lifespan.
“There is more to a patient than just disease, much like there is more to an iceberg than the tip we can see above water,” explains Sundeen. “When practicing nursing and medicine, I take a holistic approach that encompasses multiple factors in a person’s life, such as social, economic and cultural factors.” She tries to alleviate some of the stress that can be caused by healthcare visits.
Sundeen received her Master of Science in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at the University of North Dakota. In her free time, she enjoys being with her husband and children. They like to spend time outside, attend UND sporting events, and go to the lake.
