Ciara Johnson, MD Joins Altru’s Obstetrics and Gynecology Team

Grand Forks, N.D. – Ciara Johnson, MD has joined the obstetrics and gynecology team at Altru Health System. She specializes in prenatal care, labor and delivery, preconception counseling, menstrual abnormalities, preventative healthcare, and gynecologic surgery.

“Since embarking on my journey into medicine, I have felt drawn to women’s healthcare because I feel that I can connect with, and serve, women during some of their most vulnerable life experiences, pregnancy, and childbirth,” says Dr. Johnson.

Dr. Johnson earned her medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She went on to complete her obstetrics and gynecology residency from Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Outside of work, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, son, family, and friends. She also enjoys cooking, reading, and outdoor activities, such as running, rollerblading, hiking and biking.
