Karin Lokensgard Pierce, MD Joins Altru Health System

Grand Forks, N.D. – Karin Lokensgard Pierce, MD is joining the family medicine team at Family Medicine South in the Altru Professional Center. She specializes in preventive care for all ages, acute concerns, chronic disease management, contraception management, including IUD and Nexplanon, and removal of skin lesions.
“I strive to give each of my patients the best medical care possible,” Dr. Pierce states, “and to help move them to improved health.”
Dr. Pierce earned her medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She then went on to complete her family medicine with obstetrics residency at Altru Health System. In her free time, Dr. Pierce enjoys hiking and camping with her husband and their dog, spending time with their adult children, playing flute, and cheering on the UND Fighting Hawks, especially football, hockey, and tennis.
