Altru Physician Jamie Roed, M.D., Named Provider of the Quarter

Altru is pleased to announce Jamie Roed, M.D., has been awarded the Provider of the Quarter for Quarter 2 of 2022.

“Dr. Roed is a great physician with trust throughout his team. He exemplifies compassion to patients, staff and residents, including me as a former graduate. Dr. Roed is very deserving of this award,” shared Dr. Josh Deere, president of Altru.

Dr. Roed’s collaborative style is often mentioned and appreciated by his patients.

“Dr. Roed is the best doctor I have ever seen in the Altru system. He listens to me and understands my needs and my philosophy behind my current and future medical care. Dr. Roed always explains the different options available for any medical conditions I have and assists me in making the decision for how to proceed. I never feel like he is in a hurry to get me seen and out of his office,” observed one patient.

This type of care builds trust between physician and patient.

“Dr. Roed is always open to my questions and concerns. He helps me make decisions about other care concerns (neurosurgery, pain management referrals, etc.). I trust him completely and believe him to be a great help with my medical treatments,” remarked another of Dr. Roed’s patients.

The great level of comfort they feel with Dr. Roed and his team was noted by another patient. “Dr. Roed and his team are wonderful, kind, patient and very respectful. I always feel welcomed and appreciated whenever I visit. I have come to enjoy my visits with Dr. Roed and Marilyn as we have gotten to know each other over the years. Dr. Roed is from Devils Lake, N.D. He attended the University of North Dakota for medical school and completed his residency through the University of North Dakota Family Practice Center. He has been with Altru for more than 22 years.

The Provider of the Quarter recipient is selected after reviewing survey results submitted by patients. Altru started this award in 2021 as a way to recognize outstanding care given by Altru providers.
