Altru’s Board of Directors Announces Recruitment of New President

Grand Forks, N.D. - Altru’s Board of Directors announces that the recruitment of the organization’s new president began on July 11, 2022. The position will be open to internal Altru physician applicants. Candidates will be vetted by a search committee made up of members of the Altru Health System Board of Directors. Committee members include Karen Thingelstad (Board Chair), Dr. Jody Treuer, Dr. William McKinnon and Eric Halverson. The full Altru Health System Board of Directors will make the final decision on a candidate.

“The board of directors will be seeking a candidate who can inspire and engage clinicians and employees from across Altru to deliver world-class care,” shared Karen Thingelstad, Board Chair and search committee member. “We are looking for someone who is a visionary with strong physician leadership experience that aligns well with our community.”

It is anticipated that the president role will be filled by September 1, 2022.
