Altru Welcomes New Board Members

Altru Health System has appointed Tammy Peterson, Andrew Sorbo and Russel Crary to join the non-profit’s board of directors in January 2023.
Tammy Peterson is the regional president and agricultural banking director for Bremer Financial Corporation. She has over 25 years of business and agricultural banking experience with Bremer and has served as the Grand Forks region president since 2013.
Andrew Sorbo is the vice president of strategic initiatives for Minnkota Power Cooperative. Before this role, he served as senior manager of legal & property at Minnkota and prior to joining Minnkota, Andrew was counsel at the Olson, Juntunen and Sandberg law firm.
Russel Crary manages the real estate and accounting activities for Crary Real Estate. Before joining the family-owned business, Russel worked as a CPA for Deloitte in Minneapolis. Russel is the chair of the Grand Forks and East Grand Forks Chamber of Commerce.
Also in January, Dan Roline, vice-chair for Mayo Clinic’s department of provider relations, and Laura Block,chief operating officer for Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Foundation, will complete their terms on Altru’s Board of Directors.
“I am thrilled to welcome three new community leaders to Altru’s board of directors,” shared Karen Thingelstad, Altru’s board chair. “Each of these individuals brings a unique perspective that will help Altru continue to grow and fulfill our mission. I also thank Dan Roline and Laura Block for their time spent on Altru’s board and the strong leadership provided.”
Altru’s Board of Directors is a volunteer board comprised of community members, Altru physicians and Altru’s president and CEO. Currently, ten individuals serve on the board.
