Altru Partners with DaVita For Outpatient Dialysis Services in Grand Forks

Grand Forks, N.D. – Altru and DaVita, a nationwide provider of kidney care services, announced a partnership to enhance care and operations provided at the outpatient dialysis center in Grand Forks beginning Feb. 1, 2024.

“DaVita is a national expert in dialysis care and we are excited to have their expertise and resources benefit our patients and community,” said Cory Geffre, chief nursing officer at Altru. “Together, we will expand access to dialysis services, increase the number of chairs available to patients and open a newly-renovated outpatient dialysis unit soon.”

The collaboration will be called Altru Dialysis by DaVita. With DaVita’s industry-leading processes and technology, patients can expect high-quality care to continue, with Altru providers continuing to provide medical oversight.

“Our patients are our priority at Altru,” said Geffre. “This partnership will help us meet the rising need for kidney care services and provides an avenue to improve our outpatient center in Grand Forks.”

Altru’s current dialysis center in Grand Forks is located within the existing Altru Hospital. As Altru transitions to the new hospital, Altru Dialysis by DaVita will construct a new, modern dialysis center located in Altru’s 1300 S. Columbia Road building, just south of Altru’s current hospital. Building a new dialysis center provides an opportunity to update the technology, equipment and layout to best serve patient needs.
