Kayla Odegard, MD, Awarded Physician of the Quarter for Q4 of 2023

Grand Forks, N.D. - Altru is pleased to announce Kayla Odegard, MD, has been awarded Physician of the Quarter for Q4 of 2023.  
“We are grateful to Dr. Odegard for making a difference for our community,” said Dr. Josh Deere, president of Altru. “When patients go to the Emergency Department, it can be one of the most difficult times in their lives. The care Dr. Odegard provides goes above and beyond.”
Dr. Odegard’s compassion is apparent to her patients with each emergency department visit.
“Her kindness, warmth, thoroughness and impeccable stitches made a trip to the emergency department the opposite of a horrible experience,” one patient said. “I know things are busy in emergency departments, but she never rushed and ensured all our questions were answered. We're lucky to have her here in eastern North Dakota.”
The Physician of the Quarter recipients are selected after reviewing survey results submitted by patients. Altru started this award in 2021 as a way to recognize outstanding care given by Altru physicians.
