Altru Hosts Free Breast Cancer Screening Events Across the Region

Grand Forks, N.D. - In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Altru Health System is
hosting free breast cancer screening events on Wednesday, October 22, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Screenings will be available at Altru Cancer Center in Grand Forks, Altru Clinic in Crookston,
and Altru Clinic in Devils Lake.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month, observed each October, highlights the importance of early
detection and the progress made in breast cancer research and treatment. Altru’s upcoming
screening events aim to make it easier for individuals to take an important step toward
protecting their health.

“Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women, and early detection truly
saves lives,” said Bre Brintnell, Manager of Imaging at Altru. “Regular screenings can help
identify cancer in its earliest stages, when treatment is most effective. We encourage everyone
who is due, or overdue, for a mammogram to take advantage of this opportunity.”

At each event, participants will receive a mammogram screening, educational materials about
breast health, and the chance to connect with Altru’s expert team for questions and support.
