Altru Implements Visitor Restrictions Due to Increase in Influenza A Cases
Posted OnDecember 29, 2025
Grand Forks, N.D. - At Altru, the safety of patients, staff, and the community remains the top
priority. Due to an increase in Influenza A cases in the community, Altru is implementing
temporary visitor restrictions to help maintain a safe environment for those receiving care.
Masks are required in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and
Cancer Center until further notice. These measures are intended to help protect patients who
may be at higher risk for complications from respiratory illnesses.
Altru kindly asks visitors to limit visits to patients and refrain from visiting if you are
experiencing any symptoms of illness. These precautions will help reduce the spread of
influenza and support the health and safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
Altru will continue to monitor community illness trends and adjust visitor guidelines as
appropriate. Updates will be shared through Altru’s website and official communication
channels.
