Helping Hearts Heal: Camp Good Mourning Returns for Children Experiencing Loss
Posted OnMarch 30, 2026
For children navigating the difficult journey of grief, a day of connection, creativity, and healing awaits. Camp Good Mourning, a special day camp sponsored by Altru, will take place Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Turtle River State Park.
Designed for children ages 5–18 who have experienced the loss of a loved one, Camp Good Mourning offers a safe, supportive space where kids can begin to process their grief alongside others who understand.
Throughout the day, participants will explore healthy coping skills through hands-on activities including art, music, movement, and guided expression, helping them navigate their emotions in meaningful and age-appropriate ways.
Pre-registration is required and can be completed at altru.org/cgm beginning April 1, 2026. The registration deadline is June 1, 2026.
