Nicole Samson, MD Selected as Medical Director of Altru Devils Lake

Grand Forks, N.D. - Altru is pleased to announce that Nicole Samson, MD, has been selected
as Medical Director of Altru Devils Lake, effective August 10, 2026.

“Altru, our patients, and colleagues are excited for the future of healthcare in the Lake Region,”
said Dr. Josh Deere, president of Altru. “Dr. Samson brings a great approach to leadership with
a focus on improving care for our communities.”

Dr. Samson has been a valued member of Altru Clinic Devils Lake for the past decade,
providing family medicine with obstetric services. As a Devils Lake native, being an active
member of the community is important to her. Serving in this leadership role is a way for her to
give back to the people she knows and cares for deeply.

“I am honored to serve the community that raised me in this new leadership position,” said Dr.
Samson. “It’s exciting to work closely with our talented team of doctors, nurses and staff at both
the clinic and hospital to deliver compassionate, personalized care to my neighbors and
hometown family.”

As Medical Director, Dr. Samson will work closely with hospital and clinic care teams to
implement best practices, enhance healthcare services in Devils Lake, and continue to care for
her patients through her practice at the clinic. In her new role, she will help advance Altru's
commitment to providing high-quality, accessible care for patients and families throughout the
Devils Lake region.
