Stephanie Foughty, MD Selected as Medical Director of Altru Hospital Devils Lake and Altru Clinic Devils Lake

Grand Forks, N.D. - Altru is pleased to announce that Stephanie Foughty, MD, has been selected as Medical Director of Altru Hospital Devils Lake and Altru Clinic Devils Lake, effective March 1, 2026.

“Dr. Foughty is deeply passionate about making a difference for the Lake Region,” said Dr. Josh Deere, president of Altru. “We are excited to see her continue pursuing excellence for our patients.”

Dr. Foughty has been a valued member of Altru Clinic Devils Lake for the past decade, providing family medicine with obstetric services. She has served as department chair in Devils Lake since 2019. In addition, Dr. Foughty played an important role in supporting collaboration with community leaders during Altru’s acquisition of the hospital.

Dr. Foughty is an active member of several professional organizations, including her current role as president of the North Dakota Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

As Medical Director, Dr. Foughty will work closely with hospital and clinic care teams to implement best practices, enhance healthcare services in Devils Lake, and continue to care for her patients at the clinic.
