Orthopedic Surgeon – General Joint Replacement /Arthroplasty

Altru is seeking a board certified/board eligible orthopedic surgeon specializing in general orthopedic surgery/joint replacement to join our multi-specialty health system in Grand Forks, ND. For more information, please contact Ashley Tomblin.

Altru Health System is a physician led, community-owned, integrated healthcare system with a Trauma II hospital, a specialty hospital, more than a dozen clinics in Grand Forks and the surrounding region, and a large home care network. More than 200 physicians are employed with Altru crossing 44 specialties and serving a referral population of over 225,000 residents in northeast North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. As the first member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, Altru’s providers have access to clinically integrated tools extending Mayo Clinic’s knowledge and expertise to patients.

Position: Orthopedic Surgeon at Altru Specialty Center, Grand Forks, ND

Our surgery team at Altru Specialty Center is comprised of and known for:

  • 200+ Altru physicians
    • 5 surgeons
      • 2 orthopedic surgeons
      • 2 orthopedic trauma surgeons
      • 1 hand surgeon
    • 5 orthopedic surgery APPs
  • M-F with 1 OR day to start, can move over time to 2 OR days with 1:4 weekend only call
  • Dedicated core staff in the OR
  • Caseload: 400+ annually
  • Equipment available:
    • Stryker Mako Robotic Arm.
  • Procedures required: joint replacement, arthroplasty

Compensation and Benefits:­­­­

  • Salary guarantee or wRVUs, whichever is greater
  • Sign on bonus

  • Paid malpractice insurance, including tail coverage
  • Relocation allowance
