Altru Devils Lake is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital accredited by The Joint Commission, licensed by the North Dakota State Department of Health, and certified by the Department of Health and Human Services for participation in the Medicare Program.
Our medical team at Altru Clinic in Devils Lake provides excellent care in the areas of family medicine & primary care, diabetes, physical therapy and more. Our care team has access to the entire Altru network of healthcare professionals to meet the needs and expectations of our patients.
In addition to scheduled appointments, our walk-in clinic is also available to accommodate acute illness or injury on short notice.

Altru providers are available using MyChart or by contacting the clinic at 701.662.2157 or the hospital at 701.662.2131.
After the transition, you can schedule appointments by calling Altru Hospital Devils Lake at 701.662.2131, or via MyChart when appropriate.
Patients will continue to contact the phone number that is on their statement from CHI- St. Alexius Health, Devils Lake.

Unfortunately, payment plans cannot carry over to Altru. You will need to establish a new payment plan with the Altru Patient Financial Services team. This can be done by contacting us at 701.780.1500.
You can pay through your MyChart account. If you don’t have a MyChart account you can get this set up by visiting mychart.altru.org. There will also be information on your new Altru statement regarding different ways to pay your bill.
We encourage you to pay separately to ensure the payment gets posted to the correct service location, however if you need to make one payment, please ensure you notate on the return slip or send us a message on MyChart to notify us.
Altru Clinic Devils Lake and Altru Hospital Devils Lake are considered separate entities therefore you will receive two separate statements.
Altru will work on getting all services that are scheduled authorized as your insurance requires. We will do our best to keep your already scheduled appointment, however we will notify you if there needs to be any change.

To pay your bill for services received at the hospital before March 1, 2026, please call Conifer at 888.285.0149.
