Altru's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) staff takes pride in delivering quality service to our residents, whether they require emergency, urgent or elective cares.
Altru Health System's Emergency Medical Services is an integral part of our Level II Trauma Designation. EMS offers an extensive array of education and public service. Altru Telemedicine connects rural patients with providers in a variety of specialties. Telemedicine consults improve patient outcomes and expand services throughout the region, as well as reduce travel.
The technology presents a secure, live video and audio connection between
a patient at their hometown clinic or hospital and a specialist at Altru
Health System.

Serving rural patients on an outpatient basis and in regional health care facilities, Altru's Regional Therapy Services team uses a comprehensive approach to treat patients of all ages and needs. Our physical, occupational and speech therapists work closely with the patient's physician, family and other team members to develop the most effective rehabilitation program possible.
