Our hospital is committed to providing patients quality medical treatment in the Lake Region area and surrounding communities. Our patients have access to a state-of-the-art health care facility, including 24-7 emergency care, a swing bed program, extensive therapy services, a critical care unit, obstetrical care, and advanced radiology.
General Information
Altru Devils Lake is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital accredited by The Joint Commission, licensed by the North Dakota State Department of Health, and certified by the Department of Health and Human Services for participation in the Medicare Program.
Our professional and caring staff is dedicated to ensuring patients have compassionate and excellent care. If a patient needs a higher level of care than CHI St. Alexius Health Devils Lake can provide, our network of referral relationships allows us to transfer patients as needed, quickly and efficiently. Our physicians are able to consult with specialists near and far using TeleHealth, a videoconferencing service.
Your safety is our highest priority. We’re constantly striving to improve. This is one example of our many ongoing safety efforts.
Goal: Reduce falls in acute/swing bed units
Action: Audit patient checks; use fall risk signage, bed alarms, gripper socks, gait belts, call lights, fall mats and bathroom assistance
Result: 10% reduction in falls on acute/swing bed units
The Gift Shop at Altru Devils lake is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering a wide variety of one-of-a-kind items, including; balloons, baby gifts, jewelry seasonal gifts, decor, greeting cards, and candy.
The Gift Shop is located in the main hospital lobby and is staffed by members of our Auxiliary. Cash and checks only are accepted forms of payment. Hours may change depending on volunteer availability.
