All residents and faculty provide care in the outpatient setting in one centralized clinic located approximately one mile north of Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Highlights of the clinic include:
- Dedicated and experienced nursing, registration and support staff
- 30 Exam Rooms
- Pharmacy
- Lab and X-Ray
- Procedure Room and Casting Room
- State-of-the-art Ultrasound Lab
- Individual workspace for each resident, equipped with computer, phone and accessible printer
- Conference Room with multimedia equipment for noon didactics and resident education
Hospital
As an unopposed residency, our residents have the privilege of working at one hospital located in central Grand Forks for training in inpatient medicine, obstetrics, surgery and more. Altru Health System is in the process of building a brand-new hospital, opening in 2024. The current hospital features:
- 257 licensed beds across 6 floors
- More than 212 physicians and 120 advanced practitioners throughout 67 specialties
- First affiliate member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network
- Prairie Winds Café – open daily and includes salad bar, soup station and substation
- Multiple express stations that feature Starbucks coffee and grab’n’go food products
